Summer means sweat, sunburn, tan, pimple, dryness, heatstroke and much more. You need extra care to your body in terms of skin care, hydration and diet. In countries like India, where the temperature goes up to 44 degree Celsius, looking after your health to stay fit is necessary.
Some advices to keep you healthy during the summer:
- Dress for the weather:
Wear right clothes in hot weather without sacrificing your style. Wear loose clothing with light colours and let your body breathe and relaxed. Tight clothes could lead to high blood pressures.
A cap or a hat is very important to wear in hot temperatures. Also protect your eyes from Ultraviolet rays by wearing sunglasses. You can still be a rocking fashionista. And don’t forget to use sunscreen to protect your skin.
- Drink enough, drink often
Here “Drink” doesn’t mean alcohol friends, it means water☺. Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. Water is the best for hydration but you can also have raw fruit juices, ice tea, and lemonade, or sports drinks.
- Feeling superheat in the body? Do these
If you find yourself with any heat illness symptoms, get in the shade or indoors as soon as possible. You should fan your body, remove excessive clothing, and place cool towels or ice packs on your neck, wrists, underarms, and face. Other than this you can take a cold water shower or hop in a bath tub full of cool water. Still not feeling better then talk to your doctor. You might have invited the heat stroke.
- Sleep well
Take enough sleep. Try to avoid naps during the day in long days of summer unless you take them every day in same time and same amount. It is a good idea to pay attention to good sleep hygiene by keeping the same bedtime and wake-up schedule, instead of stay up late in the summer.
- Vacation Time!
Vacation can help you to lower your mental stress. Go outside and play with the kids, visit the beaches and enjoy the cool wind with a glass of fresh juice in one hand, go to the hill stations and enjoy your vacation with friends and family.
Have a Happy summer!
